COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, ILEMONA was the first privately owned College of Education in Kwara State, established in 2006. The school was approved and accredited by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Commission for Colleges of Education, Abuja and the Kwara State Government through the Ministry of Tertiary Institution, Ilorin. The College has undergone significant transformation over the years, expanding its academic programme and infrastructure. Today, the College boasts modern facilities, world class laboratories, resource learning centers and modern library only equivalence to university standard. The College Proprietress took a far reaching decision to set up the College with a strong conviction that were not many private Colleges of Education in the Country and non in Kwara State as at the time to partner with the Government in the provision of quality teacher to anchor the laudable Universal Basic Education scheme. Looking back today, the College had produced 11 different sets of graduates who had secured direct entry and graduated from reputable higher institution and became successful educators as well as in other filed of human endeavors.
